For these obligations, no instrument sets a date or an interval: it is a finding of the source, and no countdown is kept. The reason is the grade's.

A self-employed person you hire may count as your employeeThe previous pass read ss. 9 and 18. Section 9 states a status test with a short list of exceptions; it names no interval and no document.
Accessibility (barrier-free design)Section 3.8 attaches at construction or transformation, not on a cycle. No instrument found imposes a periodic accessibility audit on a privately owned Quebec assembly building, and the whole of Chapter VIII of the Safety Code was read without finding one. Anyone claiming an accessibility renewal date is inventing one. The Construction Code itself was not opened, so the section numbers are not independently verified, but since no interval is being asserted the risk of printing a wrong date is nil.
Accessibility requirements on construction or transformationThe RBQ's own page states that accessibility standards are in section 3.8 of division B of chapter I of the Construction Code and that the RBQ checks compliance on new construction and when transformation work is done. The duty is triggered by work, not by a cycle. I did not open section 3.8 itself, and I have not verified which edition of the National Building Code is currently adopted by chapter I.
ADDED - a public health director can order a sick worker out or shut the activity downRead verbatim in the consolidated French text of the Public Health Act on CanLII on 17 September 2026 (the Act is current to 2026-04-07). Every one of these powers is triggered by the director forming an opinion during an investigation. There is no cycle, no periodic review and no fixed duration except the 72 hour cap on isolation in subparagraph 7, which is a maximum, not an interval. Nothing here can be turned into a recurring date.
ADDED - Confined space: only authorised, trained workers may go inRead in full this pass. Article 298: «Seuls les travailleurs âgés de 18 ans ou plus et ayant les connaissances, la formation ou l'expérience requises pour effectuer un travail dans un espace clos sont habilités à y effectuer un travail.» Article 297 defines a «personne qualifiée» as someone who «en raison de ses connaissances, de sa formation ou de son expérience, est en mesure d'identifier, d'évaluer et de contrôler les dangers relatifs à un espace clos». Article 301 requires the information to be given and explained before each entry. Article 309 requires the rescue workers to have had training developed by a qualified person. Nowhere in section XXVI is there a card, an expiry or a refresher period. This is a genuine negative answer and it should be printed as one.
ADDED - no law says who may deliver the six hour and twelve hour trainingThis is a verified absence, established on 17 September 2026 by two checks I ran myself. First, articles 2.2.4.4 and 2.2.4.5 were extracted and read in full: they fix duration, subjects, the ITAQ exam and the 60% pass mark, and say nothing about who may teach. Second, I searched the entire consolidated regulation for the string 'formateur' and there are ZERO matches, while 'dispensee par' occurs exactly once - in article 2.2.4.8, the short session. The drafter required an authorised deliverer for the short session and did not for the two main trainings. Quebec.ca's own wording concedes the split: the duration and subjects are 'determines par la loi', while the trainer sets the price.
ADDED - Paid time off and travel costs to get or renew the first aid certificateRead in full this pass: «La personne désignée par l'employeur dans un établissement ou par le maître d'oeuvre sur un chantier de construction pour être secouriste qui n'est pas détentrice d'un certificat valide de secourisme octroyé par un organisme reconnu par la Commission peut s'absenter de son travail sans perte de salaire, le temps nécessaire à l'obtention ou au renouvellement d'un tel certificat.» The right is triggered by the need to obtain or renew, not by any cycle of its own. The cycle is the 3 year maximum life of the certificate in article 2.1.
ADDED - Qualified childcare educator, and two out of three on the floorRead in full this pass. Article 22: «Est qualifié, le membre du personnel de garde qui possède un diplôme d'études collégiales en techniques d'éducation à l'enfance ou toute autre équivalence reconnue par le ministre.» Article 23: «Le titulaire d'un permis doit s'assurer qu'au moins 2 membres du personnel de garde sur 3 sont qualifiés et présents chaque jour auprès des enfants durant la prestation des services de garde, sous réserve de l'article 23.1.» A diploma does not expire and the regulation sets no renewal, no refresher and no re-qualification cycle. This is a standing headcount duty.
ADDED - There is no personal hazardous products (WHMIS) card in Quebec lawRead in full this pass. The words «certificat», «attestation» and «carte» do not appear anywhere in this regulation - zero occurrences. Article 29 says the programme «s'adresse à toutes les personnes visées à l'article 62.1 de la Loi exposées à un produit dangereux ou susceptibles de l'être». Article 31 puts the annual clock on the PROGRAMME, not on a person: «Le programme de formation et d'information doit être mis à jour annuellement ou aussitôt que la situation le requiert». Article 32 adds event triggers: a worker taking on a new task, a new hazardous product, or new significant data requiring a label or safety data sheet change. So there is no individual expiry to print.
Agreement before sharing personal information for a business sale or transactionThe only timing words are « dans un délai raisonnable ». No number of days is set anywhere in the article.
Agreement with the public health and social services body on shared careI read articles 14.1 to 14.4 in full. They require the agreement to exist and set its minimum content in detail, but prescribe no renewal, revision or review interval anywhere. The only dates attached to them were transitional (D. 1574-2022, ss. 59: 15 June 2023 for categories 1 and 2, 15 September 2023 for categories 3 and 4), which I read at the end of the consolidated text, and both have passed.
Anonymising information: fix the purpose first, use a competent supervisor, and prove the re-identification risk is very lowNEW IN THIS PASS. I read the whole regulation in the consolidated French text. Articles 3 to 7 describe a sequence of steps inside one process, triggered by the decision to anonymise. Not one of them contains a number of days, months or years.
Applying and posting the anti-maltreatment policyDowngraded from the source list. I read article 9 in the consolidated text and it says exactly what was quoted, but no interval attaches to the residence. The five-year cycle in article 7, which I also read, binds Santé Québec or the establishment's board to revise ITS policy and submit it to the minister at least every five years — it is not an RPA date.
Apprenticeship bookletArticle 1 defines it as «un document émis par la Commission attestant la période d'apprentissage d'un apprenti». Arboriculture qualification certificateThe article text is confirmed word for word, including the note «L'exigence de détenir le certificat de qualification ou le titre d'apprenti prend effet à compter du 8 juin 2026. (D. 647-2025, 2025 G.O. 2, 2908)». But 8 June 2026 is a commencement date and it has already passed. It is not a due date, and printing it in an interval field on a live business page would read as something falling due. The requirement is now simply in force and continuous, and the article prescribes no renewal period for the certificate.

Automobile liability insurance for a vehicle used in the businessThe dollar figure is confirmed — article 87 reads « Le montant obligatoire minimum de l'assurance de responsabilité est de 50 000 $ » — but the Act sets an amount, not a renewal interval, and the interval field here reads 'none prescribed'. Policies renew annually by commercial practice, not by statute, so the grade must be not_a_legal_frequency. Printing an annual renewal date against this article would be inventing one.
Autonomy screening and assessment toolsDowngraded from the source list. I read articles 13.1 and 13.6. Both are permissive and consent-driven, with no interval. Article 13.6 al. 4 requires the written consent « de façon spécifique, pour chaque repérage et pour chaque évaluation », which is a per-event rule, not a frequency.
Backflow prevention device maintenance and field testingArticle 7 was replaced in full effective 15 July 2026. The replacement drops CSA-B64.10-01 by name, points instead at article 2.6.2.1 of part 2 of division B of the Code national de la plomberie as adopted by chapitre III of the Code de construction and as modified by section 1 of the Règlement modifiant le Code de construction (Décret 971-2026), and retains CSA B64.10.1 «Entretien et mise à l'essai à pied d'œuvre des dispositifs antirefoulement» with no edition year. The new text still prescribes no interval, so the interval stays blank, the shape stays continuous and the grade stays not_a_legal_frequency. Only the citation and the quoted wording in grade_reason need rewriting.

They require the alarm, set the standard it must meet and its audibility, and say it must be installed according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Neither article sets a replacement or test interval, unlike art. 358 for smoke alarms.
Carbon monoxide alarmsADDED ON THE GAP PASS, and deliberately kept thin. The earlier assembly-buildings pass, which read Appendice 1, recorded that 'Carbon monoxide alarms get their own new Quebec subsection 2.1.6; the Régie's guide says they follow the manufacturer's instructions rather than a code interval.' That is enough to say the duty exists and that no code cycle attaches to it. It is NOT enough to say which buildings are caught or what the alarms must be, and neither the earlier pass nor this one read the subsection article by article. LegisQuebec was blocked by the egress proxy on this pass. An interval keyed to the manufacturer's instructions is not an interval set by law, so the grade is not_a_legal_frequency and the correct output is a blank date.
Carbon monoxide alarmsADDED in the gap pass. I read articles 359 and 360 in full. They require the alarms to exist and to meet a standard, and set no test, inspection or replacement interval — unlike article 358, which does set one for smoke alarms. So no carbon monoxide date may be printed.
Certificate of employment on the employee's requestI read art. 84 in full: « À l'expiration du contrat de travail, une personne salariée peut exiger que son employeur lui délivre un certificat de travail faisant état exclusivement de la nature et de la durée de son emploi, du début et de la fin de l'exercice de ses fonctions ainsi que du nom et de l'adresse de l'employeur. Le certificat ne peut faire état de la qualité du travail ou de la conduite de la personne salariée. » The duty is triggered by the employee's request and the article sets NO time limit for issuing it. A blank is the correct answer here; the product must not invent a turnaround time.
Certificate of registration of a trademarkSection 40 was read in full on the Justice Canada consolidation. It reads: 'When an application for the registration of a trademark either has not been opposed and the time for the filing of a statement of opposition has expired, or has been opposed and the opposition has been decided in favour of the applicant, the Registrar shall register the trademark in the name of the applicant and issue a certificate of its registration or, if an appeal is taken, shall act in accordance with the final judgment given in the appeal.' It sets no repeating interval. The certificate is issued once.
Check that every resident is safe after a fire alarmDowngraded from the source list. I read article 21.2 and it says what was claimed, but it prescribes no interval — the trigger is any fire alarm signal. Under the grading rule, a duty with no interval is not_a_legal_frequency, whatever the quality of the reading.
Civil and professional liability insuranceI read article 14 and Annexe II. They set minimum AMOUNTS and a duty to « contracter et maintenir » cover. They set no renewal interval. Policies are commonly annual, but that is the insurer's cycle, not a legal frequency, so no date should be printed.
Class A ground-fault protection for pool equipment, spas and bathroom receptaclesADDED IN THE GAP PASS. I read art. 22 verbatim in the CanLII consolidation, all five paragraphs: a class A ground-fault circuit interrupter must protect electrical equipment immersed in pool water; an audio-frequency amplifier connected to loudspeakers submerged in a pool; electrical equipment within 3 m of the inside walls of a pool that is not separated from it by a wall, partition or fence; a spa, a hot tub or a whirlpool bath; and a receptacle in a bathroom installed less than 1.5 m from the bath or shower stall, with two exceptions - a receptacle combined with an isolating transformer, and the washing machine receptacle when it is on the wall behind the machine at not more than 600 mm from the floor. The article states a permanent condition and no cycle, so the interval is blank.
Code of ethicsDowngraded from the source list. I read article 36 in full, all five of its minimum content items and its four paragraphs. The code must be adopted, enforced, signed for and posted, but the regulation sets no revision cycle. A duty with no interval is not_a_legal_frequency.

Comply with an Office quebecois de la langue francaise order by the date the Office setsArticle 177 was read in full in French and it deliberately leaves the deadline open: 'Lorsque l'Office constate un manquement aux dispositions de la presente loi ou d'un reglement pris pour son application, il peut ordonner a celui qui en est l'auteur de s'y conformer ou de cesser d'y contrevenir, dans le delai indique par l'Office.' The deadline is set case by case by the regulator, not by the instrument, so there is no interval to read and the grade must be not_a_legal_frequency. Consumer contracts in FrenchThe previous pass read s. 26 of the Consumer Protection Act, s. 55 of the Charter and art. 1379 of the Civil Code. They govern the language of the document; none sets any timing.
Contractor's security deposit (bond)Article 36: «Le cautionnement doit être valide pendant toute la durée de la licence; il doit être donné sans terme.» A bond given without a term has no renewal date in the regulation. Ending it takes at least 60 days' written notice to the Régie.

Director's or officer's disclosure of an interest, recorded in the board minutesI read arts. 122 to 126 and 130 in full. Art. 124 is the operative one: «À moins qu'elle ne soit consignée au procès-verbal de la première réunion du conseil d'administration au cours de laquelle le contrat ou l'opération est discuté, la dénonciation d'un intérêt, d'un contrat ou d'une opération par un administrateur est faite par écrit, dès qu'il en a connaissance, au conseil d'administration.» «Dès qu'il en a connaissance» is a standard of promptness tied to a meeting, not a number of days, so there is no interval to print. Driver's licence class for the vehicle actually drivenThe interval here is none prescribed, which is a not_a_legal_frequency answer; confirmed is reserved for an interval read in a primary source. The underlying articles are confirmed: article 28 lists classes 1, 2, 3, 4A, 4B, 5, 6A, 6B, 6C, 6D, 6E and 8 and states that, subject to article 29, they are mutually exclusive; article 28.1 defines class 1 as tractor and trailer or semi-trailer combinations; article 28.2: «La classe 2 autorise la conduite d'un autobus aménagé pour le transport de plus de 24 passagers à la fois.» The duty to hold the right class is continuous, with no cycle.

So the duty is real in effect and carries no interval, and the interval stays blank rather than being guessed at.
